Lead and develop a diverse, multidisciplinary mental health team dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care across Open Minds’ headspace services. headspace empowers young people aged 12–25 by offering early help with their mental health, physical wellbeing, study and work goals, and challenges with alcohol or other drugs.

As part of the Open Minds team, you’ll be at the forefront of multiple headspace centres—driving innovation while helping to shape a dynamic and collaborative service environment where young people and their families can easily access the support they need to thrive.

As a Clinical Services Manager, you will oversee clinical governance, service excellence, and culturally responsive practice at our headspace centres. A key aspect of this role is building strong community partnerships and ensuring safe, compliant, recovery-oriented service delivery. You’ll mentor clinicians, support strategic service development, and promote inclusive, trauma-informed, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders and service providers, develop referral pathways, and ensure integration across services using a co-design approach.
• Recruit and lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee clinical governance, and drive evidence-based best practice through continuous quality improvement.
• Establish governance frameworks, participate in consortium and advisory groups, and implement culturally appropriate and inclusive practices in collaboration with First Nations communities.
• Ensure adherence to our Clinical Governance Framework, manage risk and incident reporting, maintain KPI performance, and maintain records management obligations.
• Work closely with the Regional Manager to shape and deliver the strategic vision for headspace services.

Requirements

• Tertiary level qualifications as a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
• Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
• Current Driver Licence
• Current Blue Card
• Current National Police Check.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in health care management, and mental health service delivery
• Experience working in a trauma informed and recovery orientated service and in cross cultural settings, especially with First Nations People
