Selection Criteria 

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). At least 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field. In addition, the employee must have approved postgraduate midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which the employee is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.

  • Describe your experience providing culturally safe, trauma informed midwifery care to women from refugee or culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Please include how you have supported sensitive clinical discussions, screening, counselling, consent, and follow up care within antenatal services.

  • Describe your experience contributing to research, evaluation, quality improvement, or service development projects, including working with partners such as universities or program leads. Please outline your role in data collection, reflective documentation, staff or consumer engagement, or dissemination of findings.

  • Describe how you plan, prioritise, and manage your time to meet competing clinical and project requirements within allocated hours of work. Please include an example from a previous role where you successfully delivered outcomes in a part time, project based, or multi site position.

  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
