Be the calm, capable centre of a growing Geelong office
DMG Partners is looking for a friendly, organised and highly capable Client Services Officer to join our growing Geelong office.
This is a role for someone who loves being at the centre of a busy office. You will help clients feel genuinely welcome, remember the little details that matter, keep information moving, support the team across accounting and financial planning, and become one of those rare people everyone quietly wonders how they managed without.
In simple terms, you will be the glue that holds it all together.
You will help the office feel organised, connected and human. You will notice what needs to be followed up, build rapport with clients, keep the little things moving, and help create the kind of office people enjoy walking into.
About the opportunity
DMG Partners is an accounting and financial planning firm supporting individuals, families and businesses with practical advice, care and long term relationships. The work is technical and detailed, but the way DMG works is deeply human. Clients are not treated like numbers, and team members are not treated like job titles.
This is not "just admin". Great administration in this environment is what makes clients feel reassured, advisers feel supported, accountants stay focused and the office run well.
You will work across both financial planning and accounting, supporting client service, office coordination, client records, document lodgements, adviser support, compliance processes, scheduling, inbox management and the follow through behind a great client experience.
You will also help shape the culture of the Geelong office. That might mean supporting social activities, creating a warm welcome, improving how things run, or simply being the person who brings care, energy and connection to the day.
DMG is also a place where people build real careers. Many team members have started in administration, client service or early career roles and grown into new areas over time. You may want to become brilliant at client service, explore financial planning, accounting, HR, operations, leadership or broader business support, or simply do meaningful work in a stable team where you are properly valued.

What you will be doing
No day will be the same, but some responsibilities include:
• Welcoming clients and visitors to the Geelong office, building rapport and helping them feel remembered, known and looked after
• Answering calls, managing enquiries and supporting the general inbox
• Coordinating appointments, meeting rooms and day to day office activity
• Supporting client records, documents, filing and scanning
• Assisting with financial planning and accounting administration
• Liaising with clients, advisers, accountants, fund managers, insurers, suppliers and government agencies
• Supporting daily banking, mail and general office coordination
• Helping create a positive, organised and connected office environment
What we are looking for
You do not need to know everything on day 1. You do need to care about doing things properly.
This role will suit someone who is warm, professional, organised and calm under pressure. You will be confident with clients, strong on detail, discreet with confidential information and trusted to follow things through. Experience in financial planning, accounting, professional services, banking, insurance, superannuation, legal support, conveyancing or another detail focused client service role would be highly regarded. Attitude, care and learning ability matter just as much.
A current Victorian driver licence and current police check will be required.
Benefits and perks
DMG offers:
• An 80 hour fortnight
• 12 paid ADOs per year for full time team members
• Birthday leave
• Paid study leave, where relevant
• Structured career planning and development conversations
• Performance review and salary review processes
• Development support and on the job training
• Regular social connection, including quarterly activities, end of financial year celebrations and Christmas events
• Free or discounted financial planning and accounting services, in line with DMG policies
• Salary packaging options for vehicle, IT and superannuation
A note on flexibility
This role is office based, 5 days per week, because it plays an important front of house, client service and coordination role in the Geelong office.
That said, life happens. There may be room for ad hoc flexibility where it works for the role, the office and the team.
Interested?
We are not looking for someone who is applying for every job on the internet and hoping one sticks.
We are looking for someone who has read this and thought, "Actually, that sounds like me."
To apply, please send through your resume and in your cover letter address:
• Why this role feels like the right fit for you
• The person you admire most, and how they have shaped who you are today
• Where you would like to see yourself in 5 years' time
It does not need to be long or polished to perfection. We simply want to understand a little more about you, what matters to you and the kind of career you are hoping to build.
We are excited to meet someone who will help make the Geelong office feel even more welcoming, connected and beautifully run as it grows.
No agencies please.
