About Our Client:
Our client is a Southeast Queensland-based construction company specializing in the delivery and maintenance of water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure. Established in 2013, the company provides specialist subcontractor and contractor services to public and private sector clients, including major utility providers. With strong growth across North Brisbane and SEQ, they’re expanding their team and offering long‑term opportunities on a range of exciting upcoming projects.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a Civil Drainage Labourer or Pipe Layer you will be required to work Monday-Friday commencing at 6:30AM, working 9.5 - 10.5 hour days. Your main responsibilities will include;
Working on various road and infrastructure projects
Prepping trenches for pipe installation
Install sewer, water and drainage pipes and fittings, conduits, culverts
Installing pits, risers, gaskets and pipe connections
Operate demolition equipment (saws, jackhammers, drills) to cut and break up concrete or pavement
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications -using picks, crowbars, shovels, engine powered compaction equipment
Setting up dumpys and laser levels
Spotting machinery
Install and remove temporary fencing, traffic barriers, safety fencing, silt fencing and other safety / environmental controls
Unloading materials and preparing for the next day
Construct concrete structures -manholes, chambers, pits, headwalls
What You Will Need:
MR or HR Driver’s Licence + reliable transport
White construction card
Minimum 9 months civil construction experience (stormwater/watermains highly regarded)
Proven experience in Civil Pipe Laying on Water/Sewerage works
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude
