About the Role
As a Trainee at The Grove Academy, you’ll kickstart your career in Early Childhood Education by working alongside a passionate team to create a positive and inspiring environment for children. With hands-on learning opportunities, you’ll develop the skills to deliver fun, engaging programs that nurture children’s growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Learning how to support educators in delivering fun and engaging learning experiences
Building warm relationships with children, families, and your team
Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Actively participating in learning opportunities
Contributing to a culture of fun, collaboration, and curiosity
Ensuring the safety, health and wellbeing of all children is prioritised at all times
Actively supervising children and maintaining awareness of risks in the environment
Reporting any concerns or incidents in line with service policies and procedures
Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to grow. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
A genuine passion for working with children
A strong willingness to learn and grow in a supportive team environment
Great communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, team-oriented mindset
The ability to embrace fun, creativity, and curiosity in your work
Strong understanding of child protection responsibilities and mandatory reporting
Ability to identify and respond to risks to children’s safety
Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries at all times
Successful applicants will be required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and complete mandatory child safety training.
