Elanora Hotel East Gosford is seeking an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our busy kitchen team. This is a full-time position suited to a qualified chef with strong technical skills and the ability to maintain high culinary standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Salary: $76,515 – $78,000 per annum plus superannuation
Key Responsibilities:
• Cooking, arranging and presenting food for service
• Undertaking mise en place and preparation duties
• Ensuring all food items are prepared and cooked in accordance with company standards
• Managing day-to-day kitchen operations within assigned section
• Maintaining food quality control and handling ingredients appropriately
• Ensuring proper stock rotation in line with HACCP requirements
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen sections and equipment
• Maintaining consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation and cleanliness
• Conducting daily stock takes, ordering supplies and monitoring food wastage
Selection Criteria:
• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher)
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience as a Chef
• Strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays
