Red Cow Hotel, a well-established and high-volume pub and bistro venue located in Penrith, NSW, is seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our professional kitchen team on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Chef with strong operational and leadership skills to contribute to a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Task & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and developing menus in consultation with management
- Estimating food and labour costs and assisting in kitchen budget control
- Ordering food supplies and liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency
- Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a consistently high standard
- Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff during service
- Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Managing stock control, portion control and minimising wastage
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, HACCP, and WHS regulations
- Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
Qualification & experience
Skills & Requirements:
- A relevant Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery, or equivalent industry experience
- More than 1 year of relevant full-time experience as a Chef
- Experience working in a high-volume pub or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety, cost control and kitchen operations
- Proven ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
