Coffeegram Co. is a popular café and dining venue located in Albert Park, Victoria, offering high-quality food, premium coffee, and exceptional customer service. Due to increasing business demand and expansion of kitchen operations, the business is currently seeking two (2) experienced Chefs to join its growing team.

Position Overview:

The successful candidates will be responsible for managing kitchen operations and preparing high-quality meals while ensuring consistency, hygiene, and efficient food service standards. The role requires a passionate and skilled Chefs who can work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Tasks and Duties:

• Planning and developing menus in consultation with management and kitchen staff.
• Preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Monitoring food quality at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Estimating food and labour costs and assisting in stock control and ordering supplies.
• Supervising kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow during service periods.
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising kitchen staff on food preparation procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, kitchen hygiene, and workplace health regulations.
• Inspecting raw ingredients and finished dishes to maintain quality and consistency.
• Assisting with rostering, training, and mentoring junior kitchen staff and cooks.
• Managing food preservation, storage, and stock rotation procedures to minimise wastage.

Skills and Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Chef.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, and modern cooking techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
