Task & responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes
• Create innovative menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal availability 
• Estimate food requirements and control stock levels to minimise waste
• Estimate food and labour costs
• Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and consistency
• Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion control
• Collaborate with team members to meet dietary needs and special requests
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh ingredients
• Continuously improve kitchen processes and contribute to a positive team environment

Qualification & experience

• Minimum of Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent work experience 
• Minimum 1 year of experience in related field.
• In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
