• Knowledge of traditional Nepalese ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a high-paced kitchen environment with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook traditional Nepalese dishes according to authentic recipes.
• Ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met in all dishes served.
• Oversee food preparation, portioning, and cooking.
• Manage kitchen staff and support them in food preparation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Innovate and contribute to menu planning by introducing new dishes that align with Nepalese culinary traditions.

Qualification & experience

Essential Criteria for Applicants:

• Residency Status: Must be an Australian permanent resident, an Australian Citizen, or an eligible New Zealand citizen.
• Candidates with relevant experience with Nepalese cuisine.
• Language Skills: Effective communication skills in English are essential. Ability to communicate in Hindi is advantageous.
• Teamwork: Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment, showcasing adaptability and cooperation.
• Work Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, adapting to the restaurant’s operational requirements.
