Club Charlestown is a leading bowling club in the Lake Macquarie Region. Boasting an undercover bowls facility, 3 function rooms, a 7-day bistro and an alfresco dining area, the Club is a hub for our 13,500 members and the local community. 

About the role:

We are currently seeking a passionate Cellar Person to join our bar team on a casual or permanent part time basis. Shifts are set weekly and are Monday to Friday (negotiable) from 7am-12pm. The Club has recently undergone extensive bar and cellar upgrades with further renovations planned!  This is an independent position that is ideal for someone that is organised and thrives in a hands on environment.
For someone wanting additional hours, shifts may be available upstairs in the bar and gaming room.

On a day-to-day basis, the cellar person would be responsible for:

-Maintaining all bar service areas, including overseeing the maintenance of beer lines, glass chillers, fridges, taps, post-mix systems and keg couplers
-Maintaining and rotating stock levels in all areas and placing orders with suppliers
-Receiving and checking all Club deliveries and entering invoices into the system where required
-Rotate gas bottles and gas flow systems on a regular basis
-Working alongside the Beverage Manager to participate in the creation of the beverage menu and product offerings

The right person for the role has:

-Demonstrated experience in cellar operations including beer line, glass chiller, fridge and tap maintenance, or a bar person with a solid foundation of skills looking to further develop these skills
-Experience in ordering stock and working to par levels
-A current NSW drivers’ licence
-A current NSW RSA
-The physical capability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting, bending and pushing throughout a shift.  
-Confidence using a computer to place orders and send/receive emails
-Experience working to in accordance with WHS policies and procedures.
