Creative Concrete Formwork Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team in delivering high-quality concrete formwork services for residential & commercial construction projects. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork systems used to support concrete structures, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Duties:
- Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Construct and install formwork systems using timber, plywood, metal, and modular panels.
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials using hand tools, power tools, and machines.
- Install bracing and supports for concrete pours and remove formwork after curing.
- Set out reference lines and levels using levelling instruments.
- Repair and maintain formwork panels and associated carpentry structures.
- Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections and adjust formwork to specifications.
- Operate carpentry tools and equipment in accordance with WHS standards.
- Collaborate with concreters, steel fixers, and site supervisors to coordinate workflows.
- Maintain tools and ensure work areas are safe, clean, and organized.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality and accuracy of all formwork installations.
- Follow site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Communicate clearly with team members, site managers, and other trades.
- Maintain compliance with local building codes and site regulations.
- Assist in training apprentices and new team members when required.
- Report any construction issues or hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain and track usage of carpentry materials and inventory.
Qualification & experience

- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of full-time employment (or equivalent part-time) as a Carpenter
- Construction Induction (White Card)
- Valid driver’s license – preferred as you will be traveling across Sydney.
- Experience working on Residential or commercial sites.
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems, concrete construction techniques, and materials.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and site plans.
- Skilled in operating carpentry tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Good mathematical ability for measuring and estimating.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical strength.
- Effective communication skills for working on busy construction sites.
