CARPENTER

The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, renovating, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials. This role requires high technical proficiency and attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are carried out according to specifications and comply with safety and quality standards.

Task & responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Study drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.

· Order and select timber and other materials for project requirements.

· Prepare and lay out materials for carpentry tasks.

· Cut and shape wood and other materials to exact dimensions.

· Assemble and install framework, sub-flooring, and roof framing.

· Construct and install wooden structures and fittings.

· Fit and secure exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames.

· Assemble and repair fixtures and fittings as required.

· Inspect and verify the trueness and stability of structures during and after assembly.

· Inspecting and replacing damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.

· Maintain and operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met.

· Comply with workplace health and safety regulations.

Qualification & experience

Qualifications:

· Must hold a Certificate III in Carpentry.

Other Skills and Requirements:

· The applicant must have at least one year of experience in the relevant role.

· Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.

· Should possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
