We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Cafe or Restaurant Manager to oversee our daily operations, drive excellent customer service, and ensure the smooth functioning of Raj on Taj Port Adelaide Restaurant. Task & responsibilities

• Planning menus in consultation with the Chef to reflect authentic Indian cuisine, seasonal availability, and customer preferences 
• Planning and organising special functions including private dining events, cultural celebrations, and corporate bookings 
• Arranging the purchasing and pricing of food, beverages, and supplies according to operational budget requirements 
• Maintaining accurate records of stock levels and financial transactions 
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional, and of suitable appearance at all times 
• Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service, and acting on feedback to maintain quality standards 
• Selecting, training, and supervising waiting and kitchen staff, including rostering and performance management 
• Taking reservations, greeting guests, and assisting in taking orders as required during service

Qualification & experience

• A relevant AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or higher qualification in Hospitality is required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time or part-time (pro rata) work experience in a managerial hospitality role is required.
• Prior experience in hospitality management is a valuable asset.
• A full South Australian driver’s license is preferable.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
• Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
• Immaculate personal presentation and a professional attitude.
• Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong understanding of food and beverage operations.
• Experience in handling functions and events.
• RSA Certificate is preferred.
