We are currently seeking an experienced Cabinetmaker / Tradesman to join our team in a full-time role based in Armadale, with workshop and onsite work as required.
About the role
This is a hands-on role responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and installation of high-quality cabinetry. You will work from technical drawings and specifications, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team and will contribute to efficient workshop operations while supporting quality outcomes across each project.
Key responsibilities
Fabricate, assemble, and install cabinetry to design specifications
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications
Operate hand tools, power tools, machinery, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently
Deliver high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail and accurate measurements
Assist with workshop setup, material handling, and inventory management
Maintain records of materials used and work completed where required
Identify and report defects, hazards, or non-conformances to supervisors
Work collaboratively with tradespeople, apprentices, and supervisors
Provide support and guidance to apprentices and junior team members
Follow all workshop procedures, company policies, and WHS requirements
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification or Certificate III in Cabinetmaking / Joinery
White Card essential
Minimum 3–5 years experience as a cabinetmaker or tradesperson in woodworking
Proven experience fabricating, assembling, and installing cabinetry
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Solid knowledge of cabinetmaking tools, machinery, and workshop equipment
Strong understanding of safe work practices and workshop safety requirements
High attention to detail, precision, and pride in workmanship
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Current driver’s licence desirable
