Butchers Wanted – Full Time

Salary: AUD 75,000 – 85,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

We are currently seeking multiple qualified and experienced Butchers to join our team at our Fyshwick operation.

Task & responsibilities

• Cutting, trimming, boning, and preparing meat to specification.
• Breaking down carcasses and preparing retail and wholesale cuts.
• Monitoring quality and freshness of raw meat and finished products.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Operating and maintaining butchery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with stock control, production scheduling, and meeting daily output targets.
• Providing guidance and mentoring to apprentices and junior staff where required.

Qualification & experience

• A trade qualification in butchery or meat processing (Certificate III in Meat Processing – Butchery or equivalent) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Butcher in a commercial environment.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service.
