The Role Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Business Systems Manager with a strong background in technology and software platforms, digital infrastructure, and the construction industry.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Business Systems Manager will be responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the company's business systems, software platforms, and digital infrastructure across all remedial building operations.
- Work closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Estimators, Site Teams, Finance, and Senior Leadership to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology, automation and AI.
- Oversee the implementation, integration, and ongoing management of construction management software, ERP systems, project management platforms, document control systems, and reporting tools.
- Analyse existing workflows and business processes to identify system improvements, eliminate inefficiencies, and streamline project delivery.
- Manage and support business-critical systems used across estimating, project delivery, procurement, safety, QA, financial reporting, and asset management functions.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives across the business to improve productivity, communication, reporting accuracy, and project visibility.
- Coordinate with external software providers, IT consultants, and technology vendors to ensure systems are maintained, upgraded, and operating effectively.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and data analytics to assist management with business performance tracking and decision-making.
- Provide technical support, training, and system onboarding to office and site-based staff across multiple projects and regions.
- Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity compliance, system security, and business continuity processes are maintained.
- Support the integration of mobile technology and field-based systems to improve site reporting, defect management, safety reporting, and project communication.
- Assist with budgeting and strategic planning relating to business systems, software investments, and technology upgrades.
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to align technology strategy with the company's long-term business growth objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies and industry trends within the construction and remedial building sectors that could enhance operational performance and scalability.
- Lead system implementation projects from planning through to rollout, including stakeholder engagement, testing, training, and post-implementation support.

What are we looking for? - Proven experience in a Business Systems Manager, Systems Manager, Digital Transformation Manager, Technology Manager, or similar role, preferably within the Remedial Building, Refurbishment Building, Insurance Building, or Building and Construction.
- Strong knowledge of business systems, ERP platforms, construction management software, project management tools, document control systems, and reporting platforms.
- Demonstrated experience leading system implementations, integrations, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives across multi-disciplinary businesses.
- Ability to analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies, and deliver technology-driven solutions that improve productivity, reporting, and operational performance.
- Experience developing dashboards, business intelligence reporting, data analytics, and performance tracking tools to support informed decision-making.
- Strong understanding of automation technologies, AI applications, system integration, cybersecurity principles, and data governance best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership, operational teams, external vendors, and end users at all levels of the business.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, coupled with strong project management and problem-solving capabilities.
