About the Role
The position of Business Analyst resides in the DMO and is responsible for supporting change at Swinburne by enhancing business outcomes through the provision of quality and innovative business analysis services. The Business Analyst role is critical to the identification of business needs and delivery of solutions that maximise value to the organisation.
The Business Analyst is responsible for planning, managing, eliciting and defining requirements, from inception through to implementation, on a variety of projects across the University. This would typically include establishing and defining the BA approach and plan, followed by the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of end to end solution requirements and acceptance criteria, as well as collaborating with other project team members to support with development, testing, UAT, operational readiness, change management and post implementation support activities. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for leading process improvement through the analysis of current state processes, the introduction of process improvements, the establishment of continuous improvement practices and the design of innovative future state processes that streamline our ways of working and drive efficiency.
The Business Analyst will also contribute to the uplift of Swinburne’s Business Analysis capability through the definition, construction and embedding of best practice Business Analysis processes, methods and techniques as part of the Project Delivery Framework.
Swinburne DMO is partnering with the business to deliver programs of work under Ad Astra strategy through investment portfolio planning, program and project delivery, portfolio and project performance measurement and the uplift of enterprise capability in projects.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position until 26 Feb 2027 at our Hawthorn campus (Hybrid).
