Gold Coast Concrete Cutting is seeking an experienced Building Associate / Concrete Cutting Operations to join our expanding team. This role combines technical construction coordination, site supervision and concrete cutting operations support across commercial and residential projects. The successful applicant will assist in coordinating and supervising concrete cutting and demolition projects while supporting construction planning, compliance, scheduling and technical site operations. The role requires strong experience interpreting construction drawings, coordinating works programs, ensuring WHS compliance and liaising with builders, contractors and project managers.

Task & responsibilities

• Assisting Construction Managers and Site Supervisors in planning and coordinating concrete cutting and demolition projects 
• Interpreting construction plans, site drawings, specifications and safety requirements
• Coordinating daily works programs, labour allocation, plant and equipment scheduling 
• Conducting site inspections and assessing work areas prior to cutting and drilling operations 
• Inspecting completed works and materials for compliance with project specifications and safety standards 
• Preparing work schedules, estimating project timeframes and resource requirements 
• Assisting with concrete scanning, service location and site measurements 
• Maintaining project documentation, safety records and operational reports 
• Liaising with builders, engineers, subcontractors and clients regarding project delivery requirements 
• Monitoring operational performance, site productivity and compliance with WHS procedures 
• Supporting the supervision of concrete cutting, wire sawing, wall sawing, road sawing and demolition activities 
• Assisting with equipment coordination, maintenance scheduling and operational planning 
• Ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with Australian construction standards 

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience within concrete cutting, demolition, construction coordination or related building operations
• Experience interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and construction site compliance 
• Experience coordinating site works, labour and equipment allocation 
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, builders and contractors 
• Experience supervising or coordinating construction activities in commercial or civil environments 
• White Card and current driver’s licence
• Concrete scanning, rigging, elevated work platform or confined space tickets highly regarded
