An established business based in Bibra Lake Western Australia, is seeking a Boilermaker/Welder, and Pipe Fitter/Mechanical Fitter to join its team on a full-time basis.

Position Overview:

Boilermaker/Welder

The Boilermaker/Welder is responsible in fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing metal structures, pressure vessels, boilers, tanks, and pipelines using various welding and metalworking techniques. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, cutting and shaping metal components, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Pipe Fitter/Mechanical Fitter

The Pipe Fitter/Mechanical Fitter is responsible for fitting, assembling, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment, piping systems, and associated components in industrial and commercial environments. The role involves interpreting technical drawings and specifications, aligning and installing machinery and pipework, and ensuring all mechanical systems operate efficiently and comply with safety and quality standards.

Task & responsibilities

Boilermaker/Welder

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using tools and machinery
• Perform welding using techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding
• Fabricate and repair boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, and structural steelwork
• Inspect welds and structures to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Conduct maintenance and repair work on existing metal structures
• Operate heavy equipment and workshop machinery safely
• Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times

Pipe Fitter/Mechanical Fitter

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications 
• Fit, assemble, and install mechanical components, machinery, and piping systems 
• Align and adjust mechanical parts to ensure proper operation 
• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical equipment 
• Install and maintain valves, pumps, and pipe systems 
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and tolerances 
• Conduct testing and inspections of mechanical systems and components 
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and quality standards

Qualification & experience

Boilermaker/Welder

• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent) 
• Apprenticeship or formal training in welding/boilermaking 
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding 
• Certification in welding procedures (desirable)

Pipe Fitter/Mechanical Fitter

• Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent) 
• Completed apprenticeship in mechanical fitting or related field 
• Demonstrated experience in fitting, maintenance, and repair work 
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes
