We require someone with basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations, ability to work under supervision in a fast-paced environment, good communication and teamwork skills, and commitment to maintaining high food safety standards. Some experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred but not mandatory.
The successful candidate will be passionate and have great knowledge about food preparation, kitchen standards, and cleanliness.
We are looking to hire 1 full-time casual role (with the potential to transition into a permanent full-time position) and part-time casual roles. Candidates must be able to do early morning shifts (starting as early as 4:00 AM–5:00 AM) and must be available 5 days a week, Monday through Friday.

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of ingredients under the guidance of senior chefs, following recipes and kitchen standards to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
Set up, maintain, and clean your workstation before, during, and after service, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Conduct basic quality checks on prepared ingredients to ensure freshness, cleanliness, and proper portion control.
Assist in stock rotation and minimize food waste by following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
Support kitchen opening and closing procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized after use, and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to senior chefs promptly.
Comply with all relevant Occupational Health and Safety laws, Bird's Nest policies, and Bird's Nest values of Omotenashi (genuine warm hospitality) and Kodawari (dedication to excellence).
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, and communicate effectively with senior chefs to report progress or raise concerns during service.
