I & J Minty & Sons is seeking a reliable and motivated Beef Cattle Farm Worker to join our cattle farming operation. This role supports the day-to-day management of livestock and farm operations while ensuring high standards of animal welfare and property maintenance.

Task & responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the health and welfare of cattle, including patrolling paddocks, inspecting livestock, and reporting any health or welfare concerns
• Provide livestock with feed and water and assist in implementing livestock feeding and nutrition programs
• Assist with calving operations and the care and rearing of young livestock
• Perform animal husbandry tasks including calf marking, tagging, drafting, and hoof care
• Muster, herd, and move cattle between paddocks to access feed and water or to support routine farm operations
• Assist with establishing and maintaining pastures and fodder crops for livestock grazing
• Carry out general farm maintenance, including erecting and repairing fences, maintaining yards, and ensuring farm infrastructure is in good working order
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, motorbikes, and other agricultural machinery
• Maintain water supply systems and livestock watering infrastructure
• Prepare and store livestock feed, bedding, and handling equipment used in daily operations
• Assist with record keeping and farm technology systems used to monitor livestock and farm activities 
• Assist with seeding, establishing, and maintaining pastures and fodder crops for livestock feed, including preparing paddocks, operating seeding equipment, and supporting crop establishment for animal fodder productionn

Qualification & experience

• Previous experience working on livestock or cattle farm
• Knowledge of cattle handling and animal welfare practices
• Ability to operate farm vehicles and machinery
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
