Salary Range: AUD 75,000 – 80,000 plus superannuation

As part of our ongoing operations and commitment to maintaining the highest standards across both our wholesale and retail production, Sweet Kiss Bakery is seeking experienced and passionate Bakers and Pastry Chefs to join our dynamic team at one of Sydney’s well-established artisan bakeries. The successful candidate may be required to work across both our Marrickville and Barangaroo locations depending on operational requirements.

Task & responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a wide range of artisan bread, pastries, viennoiseries, and cakes.
  • Manage dough mixing, proofing, shaping, baking, and finishing processes.
  • Follow established recipes and techniques while maintaining product quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
  • Monitor stock and assist in ordering baking supplies.
  • Train and mentor junior team members when required.
  • Contribute to the development of new product ranges.

Qualification & experience

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef in a commercial bakery or patisserie.
  • Relevant Certificate III or higher in Baking, Patisserie, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern baking techniques.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
