Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance on light vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle components
• Conduct engine tune-ups, oil changes, wheel alignments, and safety inspections
• Dismantle and reassemble vehicle parts and mechanical components
• Inspect vehicles and identify worn or damaged parts requiring repair or replacement
• Use computerised diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical issues and ensure proper vehicle performance
• Maintain accurate service records and workshop documentation
• Ensure all repairs are completed in accordance with workplace safety and manufacturer standards

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repairs
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence required
