Associate Adviser

Role Overview
As an Associate Adviser at Minchin Moore, you will play a key role in working closely with Lead and Principal Advisers to deliver high-quality, holistic financial advice to clients. Working across the full advice lifecycle, you will contribute to strategy development, advice preparation and implementation, while building meaningful relationships with clients across an established portfolio. This role is suited to an experienced Associate Adviser seeking to continue developing their career within a professional, values-led wealth management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Lead Advisers to develop tailored financial strategies for new and existing clients.
• Build and manage professional relationships with an assigned portfolio of clients, contributing to the delivery of tailored financial advice and ongoing client outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality, accurate and compliant Statements of Advice (SoAs) in a timely manner.
• Manage end-to-end implementation of advice, including preparation and lodgement of application and transactional documentation.
• Liaise with superannuation funds, insurers and product providers to gather information and progress client strategies.
• Contribute to ongoing client review processes, including strategy updates, portfolio assessment and client communications.
• Participate in client meetings, including Annual Strategic Reviews, contributing to the delivery of financial advice.
• Undertake financial modelling using Xplan to inform and support strategy development and financial recommendations.
• Maintain accurate and complete client records, ensuring all documentation meets compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate proactively with the advisory team regarding the progress of advice preparation and implementation.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in financial planning, wealth management or investment advisory roles.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare Statements of Advice and supporting documentation.
• Sound understanding of financial advice processes, including strategy development and implementation.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate and compliant documentation.
• Experience working with Xplan (or similar financial planning software), particularly for client management and modelling support.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with advisers.
• Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
• A proactive, team-oriented approach and commitment to delivering quality client outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in financial planning, finance, commerce or a related discipline.
• Relevant qualifications and/or progress toward meeting the ASIC education standards applicable to financial advisers in Australia.
• Ongoing commitment to professional development within the financial advice industry.
