Overview of the Role
Next Gen Building Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Architectural Draftsperson to support our team in West Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA. This role involves working closely with our team of construction professionals to assist with preparing drawings and plans for our building projects. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation of technical drawings and project documentation while ensuring work complies with relevant regulations, standards and project specifications.
Please note that this is a RESIDENTIAL role only so you must be either living in Kalgoorlie or be willing to relocate to Kalgoorlie for the role. NO FIFO offered.

Task & responsibilities
Task & responsibilities
- Assist construction team by preparing and developing architectural drawings and plans for building projects
- Prepare initial sketches, drawings and specifications using industry drafting software
- Conduct routine measurements and calculations to assist with compiling and analysing preliminary data
- Review drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications, building regulations and relevant codes of practice
- Liaise with project team members to incorporate changes and technical information into project drawings
- Edit and revise plans and technical drawings to produce accurate and high quality final documentation
- Ensure final drawings and documentation are completed in accordance with project timelines
Qualification & experience
Qualifications & experience
- Relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or a related field
- At least one year of work experience in a similar role or 3 years of work experience to substitute for the qualification
- Experience using industry drafting software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit or similar)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, building regulations and standards
- Ability to interpret technical plans and documentation accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
