About the role

Bakers Delight Marketown are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Baker to join their team in Newcastle West, NSW. As an Apprentice Baker, you will learn all aspects of baking and pastry production, working alongside experienced professionals to create high-quality breads, pastries and other baked goods. This is a full-time role with on-the-job training and the opportunity to complete a formal qualification.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting with the preparation of ingredients for bread, pastries and other baked goods

2. Following recipes and production procedures to ensure consistent quality

3. Operating baking equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

4. Packaging and presenting finished products for sale

5. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

6. Learning from experienced bakers to develop your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

1. A genuine passion for baking and creating high-quality food products

2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and procedures

3. Good physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods

4. A willingness to learn and develop your skills through on-the-job training

5. Good communication and teamwork skills
