The Team:

The Hobart Community Care Team provides vital mental health services across a broad and diverse catchment, including the City of Hobart, Kingston, Channel and Huon region. • Works with a high-level of autonomy at the individual team level and is responsible for the efficient and effective assessment and treatment of both individuals referred for case management/care co-ordination and individuals of the designated team/broader stream presenting with mental health problems and crises after-hours and on weekends.
• Is required to function as a single practitioner working within established decision-making and operational frameworks to provide effective care and treatment to assigned clients and clients of the broader team when indicated.
• Maintains productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, meeting difficult and sometimes conflicting objectives or competing priorities and undertakes conflict resolution through negotiation and mediation to resolve escalated issues.

• Demonstrated discipline-specific high-level skills, knowledge and clinical expertise in the area of Mental Health.
• Demonstrated advanced written and oral communication, liaison, interpersonal and counselling skills within a multidisciplinary team environment, including the ability to function confidently and negotiate recommendations for patient care across a wide range of stakeholder groups.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and documentation, including the Mental Health Act 2013, Right to Information Act, Work Health & Safety legislation, relevant statutory requirements and Agency policies and procedures.

Permanent part time, shift worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

$110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
• Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable as determined by individual position requirements)
• Current Driver’s Licence
