Polar Industries is seeking a skilled Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to install, service, maintain, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The role involves ensuring all systems operate efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and customer service.

Task & responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems including split and ducted units. 
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on cooling and refrigeration equipment. 
• Perform routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems. 
• Install systems for residential new builds as well as commercial and industrial projects. 
• Conduct fault finding and breakdown repairs to ensure minimal downtime. 
• Complete service work in accordance with company standards and safety regulations. 
• Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant industry codes and regulations. 
• Maintain accurate service records and report work completed. Work independently or collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.

Qualification & experience

• Applicants must hold a current Electrical Licence (QLD) and/or an Arctic licence. 
• Applicants must hold a  valid Australian Driver’s Licence is required. 
• Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality of their workmanship. 
• Applicants must demostrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
