Truck Drivers are responsible for transporting agricultural products, ensuring safe delivery, and maintaining their vehicles, playing a crucial role in the agricultural supply chain.

Salary range: $69,000 - $75,000 per Annum + Superannuation
Task & responsibilities
- Operation of trucks pulling variety of trailers in single and B-Double configurations
- Collection and delivery of harvest product from field or on farm storage to delivery points, movement of machinery between farms and movement of product around farm.
- Estimating weight of product to ensure load limitations are compiled and there is safe weight distribution.
- Setting up, maintaining, cleaning of truck and trailer equipment.
- Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles.
- Responsible for properly stowing goods and securing protective coverings to prevent damage or loss, including ensuring correct ventilation where required.
- Confirming accuracy of loading documentation, inspecting the condition of goods, and securing delivery certifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality so they can be driven safely.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations on the farm.
Qualification & experience
- Licensing: A valid Heavy Rigid Truck Licence is required.
- Qualifications: Certificate II is preferred but not required.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years experience. If no qualifications then a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks related to loading and unloading.
- Communication Skills: Good communication skills are essential for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and other drivers.
