Agricultural Mobile Plant Operator
Davison & Co (Barford) Ltd [ABN 21 009 474 435] is seeking a skilled and motivated Agricultural Mobile Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maximising farm production and profitability while ensuring the safety and welfare of Davison & Co’s plant, livestock, and team.
Davison & Co is located in Cunderdin Western Australia, approx. 150 km East of Perth. The position is full time and requires an average of 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a variety of machinery, including tractors and self-propelled plant equipment, for ploughing, sowing, fertilising, cultivating, and harvesting crops.
- Safely prepare and position plant equipment for various operations, ensuring minimal crop damage and optimal productivity.
- Adjust implements' speed, height, and depth to meet the specific needs of different tasks.
- Conduct workshop duties, including the servicing and maintenance of all machinery, ensuring all equipment is in excellent working order.
- Operate attachments and auxiliary equipment, such as chipping and log splitting machines, to efficiently manage tree and log processing tasks.
- Gather firewood and assist with other general duties as required to support farm operations.
Requirements:
- AQF Certificate II or III or preferably at least 1 year of relevant experience in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery and plant equipment.
- Valid driver's license.
- A solid mechanical aptitude with the capability to handle basic maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Strong understanding of farm safety practices and stock welfare.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks to support farm operations.
An attractive salary of $75,000 to $85,000 per year is offered for the right candidate.
