Our client GM & EV Mudie [ABN 48 969 296 510] located approx. 20 km northwest of Ravensthorpe WA, is seeking a motivated, skilled and experienced Agricultural Mobile Plant Operator to join their dynamic team.

The key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Safely and efficiently operate and maintain a range of agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and other mobile plant equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, such as greasing, replacing worn parts, checking oil and coolant levels, and changing hydraulic hoses.
  • Independently carry out specialised tasks such as fertiliser spreading, soil amelioration (offset discs, deep ripping, reefinating), and stump and rock picking.
  • Operate HR, HC, or MC trucks (if licensed) and manage air seeders and spraying equipment as required.
  • Handle herbicides safely and in compliance with correct spraying procedures.
  • Operate harvest equipment, including harvesters, chaser bins, and/or road trains during harvest season.
  • Assist with various workshop and yard tasks, including fencing, tree site preparation, and tree planting.
  • Communicate effectively with employers and team members to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

To be successful in the role you will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience of at least 1 year operating agricultural machinery and mobile plant equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of modern farming practices and crop management techniques.
  • Valid driver's license and relevant machinery operation certifications (if applicable).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

 

The role is full time and permanent, offering an annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000 for the right candidate.
