We are currently seeking a skilled Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator to support the demands of our mixed farming enterprise.

Task & responsibilities

• Operate a range of agricultural mobile plant including tractors, air seeders, boom sprayers, harvesters, and front-end loaders
• Perform regular pre-start checks and routine servicing of machinery
• Use GPS-based precision agriculture systems to assist with seeding, spraying, and harvesting
• Monitor machinery performance and undertake basic troubleshooting and minor repairs
• Ensure accurate record keeping for equipment use, maintenance, and input application
• Assist with grain and fodder transport where required (HR or MC licence desirable)

Qualification & experience

• At least 1 year of experience operating agricultural and horticultural machinery in a commercial farming environment
• Familiarity with broadacre cropping techniques and seasonal requirements
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to carry out basic machinery repairs and maintenance
• Proficiency using GPS guidance systems (e.g., John Deere, Trimble) is highly desirable
• Valid Australian manual driver’s licence (HR or MC licence preferred)
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons and adapt to changing seasonal workloads
