TOUR GUIDE / DRIVER
We have multiple full-time and casual positions available in the Red Centre.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering safe, informative and engaging tours across iconic Red Centre destinations including:
- Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
- Kings Canyon
- West MacDonnell Ranges
- Surrounding Central Australian regions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles (including LR-class vehicles or higher where applicable)
- Conduct full-day, half-day and multi-day camping tours
- Provide accurate commentary and interpretation of destinations
- Manage group safety and logistics
- Assist with campsite set-up and pack-down
- Deliver high levels of customer service
- Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements
Employment Type
- Full-Time Permanent positions available
- Casual positions available
- Rosters include weekends and multi-day trips
Salary
- Annual salary range: $70,000 – $95,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience and hours worked
- Equivalent daily rates apply for casual employees
- Superannuation paid in accordance with legislation
Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in tour guiding, hospitality, tourism, outdoor leadership or a closely related field
- Current Australian Driver Licence (LR or higher highly regarded)
- First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
- Physical capacity to participate in outdoor and camping activities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and multi-day tours
- Legal right to work in Australia
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous experience conducting day or multi-day guided tours
- Knowledge of Central Australia or similar remote environments
- Heavy vehicle licence (MR or HR advantageous)
- Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Guide Accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong public speaking and group management skills
