As an Accountant (General) at FLAWLESS HOLDINGS (AUST) PTY LTD T/A Pyramids Plumbing, you will play an integral role in supporting the financial health and operational growth of a dynamic plumbing and services business in Perth. You will be responsible for preparing and analysing accurate financial records and reports, managing compliance-based financial reporting, taxation and record-keeping in line with statutory requirements, and contributing to budgeting, forecasting and internal control processes. Your role will include maintaining accounting systems, monitoring income and expenditure, preparing financial statements, and liaising with external auditors and advisors to ensure financial integrity. You will also provide practical financial advice to management on business performance, cash flow, risk management and regulatory obligations. This position requires strong analytical skills, a commitment to compliance with Australian accounting standards, and relevant accounting qualifications. Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, examine and analyse financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements within the plumbing services business.
• Maintain and enhance accounting systems, internal controls and financial procedures to support operational efficiency at Pyramids Plumbing.
• Prepare monthly management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts to inform business planning and operational decisions.
• Monitor financial performance, analysing variances against budgets and forecasts to support the company’s financial stability.
• Ensure compliance with taxation legislation, including preparation and lodgement of BAS, GST, PAYG and income tax returns.
• Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate records.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial advice to management to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
• Conduct financial investigations and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in financial records.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain up-to-date and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare year-end reporting and coordinate with external auditors as required.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant regulatory frameworks across all financial activities.
• Maintain accurate and compliant record-keeping systems in line with organisational and legislative requirements.

Qualification & experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field.
• At least one year of relevant professional accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing financial statements, taxation compliance and financial reporting in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, regulatory requirements and financial record-keeping obligations.
