Accountant

We are Mansys Pty Ltd, recruitment consultants. Our client, Vantage Northwest Pty Ltd, based out of Bellavista (Sydney), NSW is actively looking for an Accountant to join its team on a full-time basis. The business is in construction industry and looking for an accountant with experience in the same. 

Main Responsibilities of the role are-

• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing and managing budgets and forecasts, including tracking and analysing variances to ensure effective cost control and financial planning.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices.
• Cost Accounting: Analyse and report on construction project costs, including Labor, materials, and equipment costs, to ensure accurate costing and billing.
• Project Financial Management: Assist project managers with financial management, including tracking costs, revenues, and profits, and providing financial guidance and support.
• Compliance and Taxation: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, including preparation and lodgement of tax returns.
• Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, including trend analysis, financial ratios, and key performance indicators.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including identifying and mitigating potential cash flow risks.
• Audits and Reviews: Assist with internal and external audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Financial Systems and Processes: Continuously review and improve financial systems and processes, including implementing new systems and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Must Have –

• At least a Bachelors or higher in accounting field
• At least Three year of experience as an accountant
• Preference will be given to Australian Experience in Construction industry
• Exposure to at least one of the accounting software

Successful candidate will be on an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 Plus Superannuation.
