About the Role

Scope HSEQ is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our West Perth team.

The position provides professional HSEQ consulting and advisory services to clients, with particular responsibility for workplace health and safety risk management, compliance, integrated management systems, auditing and inspections, incident investigation and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients to identify and control workplace risks, develop and maintain HSEQ management systems, conduct audits and inspections, investigate incidents and provide practical advice supporting safe and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, review and maintain client HSEQ management systems.
• Provide professional workplace health and safety, risk-management and compliance advice.
• Identify workplace hazards, assess risks and recommend appropriate controls.
• Conduct HSEQ audits, workplace inspections and management-system gap analyses.
• Develop and maintain internal audit programs and monitor corrective actions.
• Support management systems aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
• Participate in client certification and surveillance audits.
• Facilitate risk workshops and other HSEQ consultation activities.
• Assist with workplace incident and hazard investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor and report on HSEQ/WHS performance, incidents, hazards and emerging risk trends.
• Develop and review HSEQ policies, procedures, plans, registers and supporting documentation.
• Deliver or support HSEQ/WHS awareness and training activities where required.
• Provide practical HSEQ advice to client management, employees and relevant stakeholders.
• Provide environmental and quality-management support as part of integrated HSEQ management systems.
• Prepare professional reports, recommendations and client deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• a relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Work Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Environmental Science, Quality Management or a closely related HSEQ discipline;
• relevant professional experience in HSEQ/WHS, risk management, compliance, auditing or related advisory work;
• demonstrated experience in workplace hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control;
• experience conducting audits, workplace inspections and compliance reviews;
• experience developing or maintaining HSEQ management systems;
• sound knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements;
• strong analytical, report-writing and problem-solving capability; and
• strong client and stakeholder communication skills.

A current driver's licence and ability to attend client sites as required are essential.

Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, integrated management-system auditing, incident investigation and construction/infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.
