Task & responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations, review medical histories and presenting concerns, perform clinical examinations and maintain accurate patient records. 
• Assess and manage a range of acute, chronic and general medical conditions and develop appropriate treatment and care plans. 
• Arrange and review pathology, imaging and other diagnostic tests to assist with clinical assessment and treatment decisions. 
• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate treatment, while reviewing patient outcomes and adjusting care where clinically required. 
• Provide routine and preventive healthcare, including health assessments, immunisations, screening and advice on lifestyle, nutrition and general wellbeing. 
• Provide primary medical care to patients across different age groups, including children's, women's, men's and mental health consultations. 
• Conduct follow-up consultations, monitor patients' ongoing health and coordinate continuing care for chronic or complex conditions. ·  Refer patients to specialists, hospitals and other healthcare providers where required, providing relevant clinical information and coordinating further care.

Qualification & experience

• Medical degree recognised for practice in Australia. 
• Current AHPRA registration or an application currently in progress - eligibility to practise as a General Practitioner in Australia. 
• Relevant experience in general practice and primary healthcare (Minimum one year) 
• Demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of medical conditions. 
• Ability to undertake clinical investigations, prescribe appropriate treatment and provide ongoing patient care. 
• Strong communication, clinical documentation and multidisciplinary care coordination skills. 
• Commitment to professional standards, patient confidentiality and quality healthcare.
