We are currently seeking a full-time Residential Care Officer for our business located in Blacktown.

Your duties will include: 

• Assess residents’ care and support needs and follow their individual care plans.
• Interview residents and identify their personal, social, emotional, and daily living needs.
• Provide personal care, assistance with daily activities, and support to people with disabilities.
• Support residents living in group homes and residential accommodation.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report their progress and any changes in their needs.
• Refer residents to health, welfare, and community services when additional support is required.
• Assist residents to access medical appointments, community activities, and other support services.
• Support families and communicate with guardians, care coordinators, and other service providers.
• Help residents develop independence and improve their daily living skills.
• Prepare daily care notes, progress reports, incident reports, and other required records.
• Work with community organisations and support agencies to assist residents with their needs.
• Follow workplace health and safety, privacy, safeguarding, and organisational policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and care plan reviews.
• Assist with other reasonable duties related to residential care and support.

In return you will receive:

• Package: $80,000-82,000 per annum plus superannuation
• Position: Full time (38 hours a week)
• Ongoing support from our team

Requirements of position

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant work experience or 3 years of experience to substitute formal qualification
