We are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic on a full-time basis to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical services, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles. Task & responsibilities

Your Task and Responsibilities as a full-time Motor-Mechanic are but not limited to:

  • Identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles, engines and related components.
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair and replace engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, braking systems and other mechanical components.
  • Replace worn, damaged or faulty parts and reassemble vehicle components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
  • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks and engine tune-ups.
  • Inspect, test and repair vehicle systems to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation.
  • Reassemble and test engines and mechanical components following repairs to confirm correct operation and performance.
  • Adjust and fine-tune mechanical systems and components to ensure smooth and efficient vehicle operation.
  • Use computer-assisted diagnostic equipment and specialised testing tools to identify and troubleshoot vehicle faults.
  • Conduct vehicle safety inspections and identify or recommend repairs required to maintain roadworthiness and compliance.
  • Attend breakdowns and carry out on-site repairs where required.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records and report any additional faults identified during inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment and ensure all work complies with applicable safety and quality standards.

Qualification & experience

  • Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic - Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology - Mandatory
  • Diploma of Automotive Technology or equivalent - Preferref
  • Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with wheel balancing, alignments, and suspension repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Driving Licence
