Leading Bees Montessori and Early Learning is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at our Boronia centre.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play an important role in creating a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment that supports each child's learning, development and wellbeing. You will plan and deliver high-quality educational programs while working collaboratively with children, families and fellow educators.

Task & responsibilities

• Plan and structure engaging learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments, using appropriate educational materials and resources.
• Design and deliver learning experiences that promote children's physical, social, emotional, cognitive and communication development.
• Support children's language and literacy development through storytelling, songs, role play, group discussions and other age-appropriate activities.
• Observe and assess children's learning and development and maintain appropriate records of their progress.
• Monitor children's nutritional health, safety, wellbeing and developmental needs and respond appropriately to identified concerns.
• Encourage children's confidence, independence, cooperation and positive social interactions.
• Develop and implement educational programs consistent with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)and the service's educational philosophy.
• Communicate regularly with parents and families regarding children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Participate in parent discussions, staff meetings, centre activities and relevant community engagement.
• Work collaboratively with educators and other team members to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support and supervise student teachers undertaking professional placements where required.
• Maintain high standards of child safety and comply with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Qualification & experience

• A Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education/Teaching, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Eligibility for the appropriate teacher registration in Victoria.
• Relevant experience working in an early childhood education environment.
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Framework.
• Strong understanding of children's learning, development, health, safety and wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
