The Metal Fabricator position is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of bespoke lighting fixtures.

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum plus super.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Measuring, marking, cutting, forming and shaping metal materials to produce components for bespoke wall lights, pendants and architectural lighting installations.

•    Fabricating, assembling and joining precision metal components to required dimensions and specifications, ensuring accurate fit and alignment.

•    Operating hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment to cut, drill, shape, finish and assemble metal components.

•    Preparing fabricated metal components through filing, grinding, polishing and other finishing processes to achieve the required surface quality.

•    Inspecting completed components and assemblies to ensure dimensions, alignment, finish and quality meet project requirements.

•    Managing workshop production, including scheduling, procurement, quality control, equipment maintenance and coordination of fabrication activities.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• Trade qualification desirable
• At least 1-3 years relevant experience 
• Previous experience with rigorous quality assurance procedures and testing
• Ability to interpret and read drawings
• Have good communication skills.
