Mangat Transport Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Truck Drivers (HC/HR) to join our growing transport and logistics team in Adelaide, South Australia.

The successful candidates will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across South Australia, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of road safety and customer service.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Combination (HC) and Heavy Rigid (HR) trucks as authorised by the driver's licence and assigned duties.
• Transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations across South Australia.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
• Safely load, unload and secure freight in accordance with relevant safety requirements.
• Perform trailer coupling and uncoupling when operating HC vehicles.
• Plan and follow designated delivery routes and schedules.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records and transport documentation.
• Comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) requirements, fatigue management regulations and road safety laws.
• Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper care of company equipment.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers and other team members.
• Follow company policies and workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current and valid Australian HC or HR Driver’s Licence, appropriate to the vehicle being operated.
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience operating heavy commercial vehicles.
• Previous experience in freight transportation and distribution.
• Sound knowledge of Australian road transport and heavy vehicle regulations.
• Understanding of load restraint and fatigue management requirements.
• Experience in trailer coupling and uncoupling for HC vehicle operations.
• Ability to maintain accurate driving records and logbooks.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, reliability and professionalism.
• Willingness to undertake regional deliveries across South Australia as required.
