Retail Manager – Mensho Tokyo, Sydney

The Retail Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Mensho Tokyo, including staff management, rostering, stock control, supplier coordination, sales monitoring and customer service. The role will ensure smooth operations, maintain high service and presentation standards, support staff development, and contribute to improving business performance and customer satisfaction.

Task & responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of Mensho Tokyo.

Supervise staff, prepare rosters and coordinate daily duties.

Train and support staff to maintain high service standards.

Manage stock levels, ordering, inventory and supplier deliveries.

Monitor daily sales, revenue, expenses and operating costs.

Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer concerns.

Ensure cleanliness, presentation and workplace safety standards are maintained.

Coordinate with suppliers and manage purchasing requirements.

Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and support.

Assist with promotions and strategies to improve sales and business performance.

Maintain operational records and assist with administrative duties.

Ensure compliance with relevant workplace policies and regulations.

Qualification & experience

Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Hospitality Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum 1 year of relevant retail or management experience.

Previous experience supervising and managing staff.

Experience in stock control, purchasing, ordering and supplier coordination.

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Good customer service and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ability to work full-time, including weekends and public holidays as required.
