We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef di Partie to join our busy kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to menu planning and kitchen operations. This role requires strong culinary skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications and have at least two years of relevant work experience as a Chef.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of food items to a high standard.
• Plan menus and develop new dishes in consultation with management.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Supervise kitchen staff and assist with training where required.
• Manage stock levels and assist with ordering food supplies.
• Minimise food wastage and maintain cost-effective kitchen operations.
• Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Coordinate food preparation to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Ensure all meals are prepared according to established recipes and customer requirements.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Diploma of Hospitality Management, or a relevant culinary qualification.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen operations.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
