Task & responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily food and beverage operations, ensuring efficient service and consistently high guest standards.
- Lead, support and motivate the Food & Beverage team, including staff scheduling, training, briefings and task allocation.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining strong product knowledge and responding professionally to guest needs and feedback.
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, wastage and departmental costs to support efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and responsible service of alcohol requirements.
- Coordinate food and beverage requirements for groups, functions and special events as required.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and contribute positively to the unique Kakadu environment.
Qualification & experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor or senior hospitality role – minimum 12 months.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and evenings.
- A hands-on, adaptable approach and the ability to thrive in a remote and dynamic environment.
