Task & responsibilities

• Oversee the daily transport operations and ensure services run efficiently.
• Plan and coordinate transport schedules, routes, and vehicle operations.
• Monitor fleet availability, vehicle usage, maintenance, and repairs.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve transport services and business performance.
• Monitor operating costs, fuel expenses, and other transport-related costs.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles, trips, staff, expenses, and operational activities.
• Prepare and manage budgets to control costs and meet business targets.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and manage drivers and other transport staff.
• Allocate duties and prepare staff rosters according to operational requirements.
• Ensure all vehicles and transport activities comply with safety, road, and workplace regulations.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor customer service and resolve transport-related issues or complaints.
• Prepare operational reports and review business performance to improve efficiency.

Qualification & experience

• Proven experience in transport management or senior operational management roles.
• Good understanding of transport operations, fleet management, and logistics.
• Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Experience in scheduling, vehicle coordination, and transport administration.
• Knowledge of transport safety, workplace health and safety, and compliance requirements.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field are preferred.
