About the Role
As our new Childcare Group Leader (Full-time), you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of a designated room and fostering meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community.
You will guide and support children’s learning and development through the delivery of structured educational programs, while contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
You will be supported by the Centre Leadership Team in applying and strengthening your leadership capabilities within a professional early childhood setting.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Ensure a high level of health and safety standards is maintained at all times
Lead the daily operations of your allocated room, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Plan, implement, and evaluate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Observe, assess, and document children’s development, including strengths, interests, and progress
Guide, support, and mentor educators within the room to maintain consistent and high-quality practices
Support the delivery of structured daily routines and age-appropriate learning experiences
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment
Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team and educators to support overall centre operations
Build and maintain respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher
Minimum 1 year of experience working in a regulated early childhood setting, including experience contributing to educational programming
Strong understanding of children’s development and early learning principles
Essential Requirements
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC – VIC)
Current First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training (ACECQA approved)
