Chid Care Worker

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Childcare Workers to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children’s development and wellbeing while ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs in accordance with the EYLF.
• Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development through structured and play-based activities.
• Supervise children to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times.
• Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, toileting, dressing, and rest periods.
• Observe and record children’s progress and report on developmental milestones.
• Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, including setting up indoor and outdoor activities.
• Work collaboratively with educators and management to ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies.
• Communicate effectively with families regarding children’s development and daily activities.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including child protection requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Genuine passion for working with children

Desirable

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Previous experience in a childcare or early learning environment
• Knowledge of child development and behaviour management strategies
